Lacasse & Avery, A New Brokerage

By Jeremy Avery

Kevin Lacasse and Jeremy Avery discuss the launch of their new real-estate brokerage

When the Covid pandemic arrived in the Spring of 2020 I was at the tail end of a project called “Highland Ridge” in Tilton, NH. I was part of the sales team on that project and the developer was Kevin Lacasse. Together we forged through the pandemic and came out the other side with 24 residential sales and a beautiful neighborhood of homes.

One of the beautiful Highland Ridge homes

After the success at Highland Ridge I became involved in several other high-profile residential developments. One of them, Lakeside at Paugus Bay, was a luxury waterfront condominium project on Lake Winnipesaukee, 32 units featuring elevators, high-end finishes, an association beach, docks, and amazing sunset views. We sold out in relatively short order, setting a record price (since broken) for waterfront condominiums in the process. Another project was Brook Hill at Meredith, which was (and is an on-going) town-house development in Meredith. My involvement in these and other projects was all-consuming and very fruitful, but when the dust cleared (literally), I knew that in order to make the most of what I had learned and the skills I had accumulated, I needed to make a fresh start with my own company.

Lakeside at Paugus Bay

The day that I made that decision, I called my old client, Kevin Lacasse. I knew he had expanded his developmental efforts and was involved in an ambitious effort to bring housing to New Hampshire’s residents and to those who want to make New Hampshire their home. Thankfully, Kevin took my call, and we began to make plans to start our own brokerage.

And now we announce that new business, the Lacasse & Avery Real Estate Brokerage.

New construction is the focus of Lacasse & Avery

Our vision is to bring to the Lakes Region an independent brokerage focused on new construction projects, but with the capability to represent sellers and buyers in all niches of the real-estate market. Kevin’s developmental company, New England Family Housing, is an integral part of our effort. This successful family-owned company is an incredible resource and the backbone of what we are trying to accomplish. At Lacasse & Avery, because of our affiliation with NEFH, we have a full-time marketing, bookkeeping, and transaction coordination staff to ensure the smooth and high-level operation of any new construction project, whether large or small. We specialize in “BUYER MANAGEMENT,” handling all interactions so that builders can build, and buyers can relax with the knowledge that things are under control. NEFH even has an experienced construction management department, allowing us to run the entire project in-house. This is an asset and an ability that no other residential brokerage can provide their developer-clients.

But we know that we can’t hang our hat on just the new construction projects that we have lined up. So we envision a diverse company, with agents working hard in 4 other distinct sectors of the market.

The “Farms and Forests” division will handle sales involving horse properties, working farms, standing and managed forests, and recreational properties throughout the state.

Our “Waterfront and Islands” division will handle listings and provide buyers with boated access to all the amazing lake-side and island properties in the Lakes Region and beyond.

Our “Commercial” division will build on co-founder Kevin Lacasse’s experience in the purchasing, selling, construction, refitting, and operation of commercial operations throughout New Hampshire. This division will incorporate a strategy to become the go-to brokerage for multi-family and investment properties.

A family business through and through

Last week, during a snow-day without snow, my daughter and I took a drive. We decided to tour all the new communities in which I had played a part. We drove to Tilton and then through Belmont, Gilford, Laconia and into Meredith. We saw some of the families living in the new homes we helped bring about and we waved at friends we had met along the way. We are excited for the future, and we plan on taking a similar drive in a few years, through other communities which are now just drawings on a page, but will someday soon be brought to life.
